Fat Michael's Place

It was an absolutely stormy day and most of the places in Makati were flooded but nothing can stop me from storming hidden restaurants with good food! Besides, it was my Hubby’s payday so I could definitely demand for a nice treat for dinner! So we decided to visit Fat Michael’s! We took a cab going there but I called them first to ask for directions-the restaurant is actually near Evangelista in Pasay. We passed by South Super Highway going south. Landmark was Makati View Apartelle and we turned right-on the 1st corner, we finally found the place! Again, it won’t look like a restaurant from the outside but as we pass through the wooden sliding door, you’d be amazed to see an intimate beautiful space. We got this small table for two beside the wall and cute funny design with my hubby.
Interiors were a mix of American, European and the family’s own pictures. The place is filled with warm light, wooden chairs, tables, dangling curtains and books! (Which you could read while waiting)
The menu- we were handed with laminated menus but if you want it with a price, you need to refer black board frames hanging on the walls. They have flexible menus to choose from-main dishes to pasta and breads. One thing though that bothered my hubby was their explicit signage: 'We cook slow. Live with it.' -at the back of the menu.

But we weren’t really affected for us the menu arrived just on time and we didn’t wait long. We decided to order:
Beef Salpicao (Php 205)- very tasty with added mushrooms

Rosemary Chicken with Gravy (Php 135)- a good meal as well

And one of the favorites- Seafood Pizza (Php 205)- soft mouth watering kesong puti spread on top and delicately placed tomato and shrimps was really good.

All in all Fat Michael’s does not only provide you with a hearty good food but also gives you a magical touch! After a day's work if you feel harassed and stressed, dining in the place would transport you to a different world outside the hustle and bustle world of the city. One magical restaurant to try!
